Roof Repair Project – Tree Damage Recovery in Oakleigh East

When a fallen tree caused significant damage to both the main house and garage roofs of this single-storey, tiled-roof property (built in 1980), our team was called in to deliver a full repair and restoration solution.

The client’s main concerns were restoring structural integrity, replacing damaged tiles, upgrading drainage systems, and ensuring the home was protected from future weather events.

📋 Scope of Works

1. Tile Replacement & Reinstallation

• Supplied and replaced approximately 50–60 broken tiles on the main house roof, using client-supplied matching tiles.

• Reinstalled all previously removed tiles along the areas marked in red, including:

• Entire hip section on the western side

• Bottom five rows along the full front elevation

• Around the back to the valley connection point

2. Rebedding & Repointing

• Re-bedded and repointed all hip and ridge caps across the repaired areas to ensure strength and weatherproofing.

3. Gutter and Fascia Installation

• Supplied and installed approximately 25.0 linear metres of new Colorbond Monument metal fascia and Quad Slotted Gutters to the main house roof.

• Installed two new 100x50mm Colorbond downpipes:

• One discharging onto the garage roof

• One draining to the front of the property

4. Garage Roof Replacement

• Supplied and installed approximately 18.0m² of new Colorbond Klip-Lok roof sheeting over the damaged garage area.

• Included new metal fascia, gutters, and all necessary flashings in Colorbond Monument finish.

5. Optional Roof Respraying

• Provided a separate quotation to reseal and respray the repaired areas using Dark Charcoal tiles.

• Awaiting client decision based on whether to respray only the repaired section or the entire main house roof.
