Personally qualified in waterproofing
I’m Victor from Holy Mess Repairs, and I’m personally qualified in waterproofing (Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing, trained in NSW). Waterproofing isn’t a side line for us. We waterproof leaking balconies, showers and bathrooms, gutters, roofs and rooftops: anywhere water is getting in. We use Sikaflex, or whatever membrane you request.
Find the source before you redo the membrane
Re-waterproofing is expensive, so we confirm the cause first with dye testing and a proper look at the flashings, drains and penetrations around the area. Sometimes it’s the membrane, sometimes it’s something next to it.

- We waterproof it properly. Remove the failed material, prime and apply the right membrane for the area.
- Water test and photos. We water test and document every spot.

Not always. Drains, penetrations and flashings can cause leaks that look like membrane failure. We test first so you don’t pay to redo the wrong thing.
How do you find a waterproofing leak?
With dye testing and a close look at the membrane, drains and flashings, then photos and a written explanation.
Can you help with a builder warranty or insurance claim?
Yes. We document the cause with photos and testing. Whether a claim is accepted is up to the builder or insurer.
Do you waterproof bathrooms and showers?
Yes. Victor is personally qualified in waterproofing (Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing, trained in NSW), and we waterproof leaking showers and bathrooms as well as balconies, gutters and roofs. We find where the water is escaping, remove the failed material and apply a new membrane, using Sikaflex or whatever membrane you request.
